Irish folk duo Moundabout release new song 'Bring Me Stones', the pair consisting of Paddy Shines (Gnod) and Phil Masterson (Los Langeros/Damp Howl/Bisect) are set to release their debut album Flowers Rot, Bring Me Stones on Rocket Recordings on May 27th. The track features deep mediative vocals that loop and ebb around each other in a traditional folk manner, however these vocals are set against an affected electric guitar with subtle reversed notes hovering in the background- the effect is eerie, yet beautiful, an interesting almost psychedelic take on folk music. The album is inspired by ancient Irish structures and steeped in history, it is designed to take the listener on a "geographical and geological journey as well as psychological and spiritual". Watch the animated accompanying video below that features many of these rock formations and structures. -Toby Evans-Jesra
